The Desiccant Silica Gel "drinks" dampness, prevents condensation from trapped air when cases are opened in damp, high humidity climates.
Peli Desiccant is a small, perforated canister containing an indicating silica gel. The case is lightweight yet strong, designed to withstand years of use. The desiccant content has a reversible action. Once it has adsorbed all the moisture it can hold, indicated by a color change from blue to pink, it can be regenerated easily with a conventional oven. After regeneration, it will be capable of readsorbing its full capacity. This cycle can be repeated over and over again, making it the "forever" desiccant.
Desiccants protect all types of articles from deterioration, rust, corrosion, mold, mildew and other damage caused by moisture or high humidity. Simply place desiccants together with the article to be protected in a tightly closed or sealed moisture resistant container. Desiccants will rapidly and actively desiccate the surrounding air and keep it that way to protect against moisture damage.
